Description

Turning Vertical Space into a Commercial Play Advantage

Located within Amazing Village in Yangju, this 500 sqm indoor playground was conceived as more than a conventional soft play center.

The brief was to create a destination with enough energy and visual impact to attract children beyond the typical toddler-focused play age — while giving families a reason to stay, explore and return.

For this project, the opportunity was clear:

Use the available 8-meter vertical volume to create a much more immersive play experience within a relatively compact 500 sqm footprint.

Instead of spreading equipment across the floor, Luckyplay developed a vertical slide-park concept that turns height into the project’s strongest commercial and visual asset.

CHALLENGES

1. Maximize the 8-Meter Ceiling

The unusually high vertical volume represented the biggest opportunity.

Rather than leaving the upper space unused, the design converts vertical height into:

climbing → challenge → anticipation → slide → landing → repeat

This creates a much greater experience density than a single-level playground.

2. Serve a Wider Age Range

Traditional soft play can lose its appeal as children grow older.

3. Maintain Smooth Traffic Flow

A high-density playground can easily become congested.

OUR SOLUTION

1. A Vertical Play System Built Around Movement

Luckyplay developed the project from concept through installation, combining spatial planning, themed design, equipment engineering and manufacturing into one integrated workflow.

2. Concept Development

The core concept was based on Trend Power — a high-energy playground language designed around movement, color and visual stimulation.

3. Vertical Utilization

The 8-meter ceiling allowed the playground to become a vertical attraction rather than simply a floor-based soft play area.

The upper levels accommodate climbing and net-based attractions, while the slides create high-speed connections back to the lower levels.

This produces a strong visual hierarchy:

Height → Attraction → Movement → Exit

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

Trend Power: Designed to Trigger Attention Before Play Begins

The project uses Luckyplay’s original Trend Power theme to create a contemporary, high-energy visual identity.

The design intentionally avoids the conventional pastel children’s playground aesthetic.

Instead, it combines:

Fluorescent Green × Barbie Pink × Dark Structural Elements

The result is a bold visual contrast that immediately communicates:

Energy. Speed. Adventure.

PROJECT VALUE

Turning Vertical Space into Commercial Play Value:

Designed around an 8-meter ceiling, Fantasy Play Kingdom transforms a compact 500 sqm footprint into a high-energy indoor attraction with strong visual impact and broad age appeal.

Maximize Every Square Meter:

The multi-level structure makes full use of the venue’s 8-meter height, creating significantly more playable volume without expanding the floor footprint.

Build Longer Play Sessions:

Multiple interconnected attractions encourage children to move from climbing and exploration to high-speed slides and active play, creating continuous play loops rather than isolated activities.

FAQ

1. What makes this indoor playground different from a conventional soft play center?

The project focuses on vertical play, speed and physical challenge rather than relying primarily on traditional soft-play activities. Multiple slides, obstacle elements, trampolines and elevated net attractions create a more dynamic experience for older children and families.

2. Who is the target audience for this indoor playground?

The playground was designed to extend beyond the typical toddler market, with a strong focus on older kids, tweens and families. High-energy attractions such as obstacle courses and large slides provide more challenging play for children as they grow.

3. What safety standards does Luckyplay provide for indoor playground projects?

Luckyplay develops playground equipment for international export requirements and can provide relevant certification documentation, including ASTM, EN and CE, depending on the project and product specifications.

4. Does Luckyplay provide a turnkey indoor playground solution?

Yes. Luckyplay provides an integrated service covering concept development, space planning, 3D design, manufacturing, installation and after-sales support, allowing clients to work with one project partner throughout the development process.

5. How can I develop a similar indoor slide park?

Start by providing your venue dimensions, ceiling height, location, target age group and approximate budget. Luckyplay can then develop a customized concept and layout based on your commercial and operational requirements.
